Welcome to Burnham Methodist Church!

We are a small, friendly congregation, warmly welcoming visitors and new members alike. Our church is affectionately known as The Church at the Crossroads, situated at the junction of Lent Rise Road and Eastfield Road.

Service Times

  • Sunday Morning Service: Every Sunday at 10:30 am, with monthly Holy Communion. Our services are inclusive, always making provision for children.
  • Evening Service: Held at 6:30 pm on the first Sunday of each month. You are warmly invited to join us.

Regular Activities

  • Bible Study: An informal group meeting fortnightly on alternate Friday mornings at 10:00 am.
  • CAMEO (Come And Meet Each Other): A senior citizens' lunch club meeting every Thursday from 11:00 am.
  • Lent Rise Toddlers Group: A pre-school group for children and parents/guardians to socialize. Meets during term time on Tuesdays between 9:15 and 11:15 am.
  • Open the Book: Regular term-time sessions at the local primary school, bringing Bible stories to life for children.

Community Engagement

We have strong ecumenical links with other local churches and share worship and fellowship within the Methodist community throughout the Circuit. As part of an active gathering of Churches Together in Burnham, we maintain robust community connections, with our premises extensively used for various activities.

Other Groups Using Our Premises:

  • 11+ Wizards: A children's tutor group.
  • The Monday Club: A senior citizens' social group under the auspices of Burnham Community Action, held on Monday afternoons.
  • Keep Fit and Aerobics Group:Regular fitness sessions promoting health and well-being.

Accessibility

Our church and halls are wheelchair-friendly with full disabled access, including a purpose-built toilet and a hearing loop. Facilities include a large hall with a stage area, two classrooms, and a kitchen, all in regular use throughout the week. We also have a small car park accommodating about 12 cars.
